Terms of Use
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sideline Edge, the company that makes Hockey Draw. By creating an account or using Hockey Draw, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
Your account
- You need to be an adult (the age of majority where you live) to make an account.
- Each coach has their own account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- Give us a real email address; it's how you sign in and how we reach you.
Trial, plans and payment
- New accounts get a free 30-day trial with everything turned on. No card is needed to start.
- After the trial, you can keep a Free account with smaller limits or buy a paid plan. Nothing you made is deleted: anything over the Free limits stays there to look at until you upgrade.
- Prices are shown on our website before you buy. Paid plans renew each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. If you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of the year you paid for.
- We may change prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects your renewal.
- Association plans are agreed with the association directly. If your association gives you access, it lasts while they keep you as a member.
What you make is yours
You own the drills, practice plans, notes and pictures you put into Hockey Draw. You give us permission to store them, show them to you, and share them with the people you choose (through a link, an email or your association). We only use that permission to run Hockey Draw for you.
When you post a drill or practice to your association, other coaches in it can view and copy it, and it stays with the association if you leave.
Our drill library
The drills and practices in our library are written and drawn by us. You're welcome to use them, copy them into your account, change them, print them and share them with your team and other coaches. Please don't copy the library in bulk to sell it or put it into another app or website.
Your team's information
If you add players, parents or other coaches to your team, you're responsible for having permission to do so, usually through your team or association. Only add what you need, and only send practice emails to people who expect them.
Please don't
- Use Hockey Draw to send spam or anything unrelated to your team.
- Upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful, hateful or inappropriate around kids.
- Try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with how Hockey Draw runs.
- Copy or resell Hockey Draw itself.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why, unless the law or safety stops us.
On the ice
Hockey Draw helps you plan. You decide what's safe and right for your players' age and skill, and you're responsible for how drills are run on the ice. Follow your association's and Hockey Canada's safety rules.
Keeping Hockey Draw running
We work to keep Hockey Draw available and your work safe, and the app keeps a copy on your device for the rink. But we can't promise it will never be down or never have a problem, so Hockey Draw is provided “as is”. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we ever shut Hockey Draw down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to save your drills and plans.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, Sideline Edge isn't responsible for indirect losses, like lost data you didn't save elsewhere, or injuries during a practice. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Ending your account
You can stop using Hockey Draw at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may close accounts that break these terms, as described above.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is important, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies. Using Hockey Draw after that means you accept the new terms.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province where Sideline Edge is based.
